Product overview

What exactly is Schrack Speedwork?

Speedwork is a tool to install Ye or H07V-U (Ye) wires quickly and easily. Compared with the traditional cardboard put-ups of 100 m, one reel offers 300 m wire. Unwinding from the reel comes with the big advantage that there are no loops. Straightening the wire is therefore a thing of the past. Speedwork is designed for single-operator use, especially in small-scale installations. However, it can be used in projects of all sizes.

The basic gadget of the tool is the Speedwork - the mobile wire spool system. Each Speedwork can hold 3 reels of wires. This not only declutters the work environment, it helps to keep track of what's in stock. The Speedwork spool system is a 60-cm long s/steel frame with edge protection. It carries 3 spool axes with stepless adjustment (with rolling resistance). The Speedwork is also fitted with a shoulder strap for easy carrying around and hauling the spool system.

What do I have to buy as a customer to be able to use the Speedwork?

You buy the complete Speedwork wire spool system. Reels with different cross-sections are available in put-ups of 300 m, which you can order as needed.

What types of wires are available on Speedwork reels?

We provide the following wires: H07V-U (Ye) 1.5 and 2.5 mm² in all commercially available colours- i.e. Bk, Bu, YeGn, Bn, Oe, Gy, Rd, Vt, Wh. All wires are available in the Schrack Technik Online Shop and in Schrack Technik Stores.

How heavy is the Speedwork wire spool system?

The Speedwork wire spool system weighs half a kilogram empty. Fully loaded with 3 reels of 300 metres each it weighs approx. 20 kg. Used with the shoulder strap, both hands remain free to carry other stuff.

What are my advantages when I use the Schrack Technik Speedwork wire spool system?

Cardboard systems are usually slightly cheaper than reels, but the latter save a lot of time during installation work.

Short installed distances can be handled by one operator alone, because there will be no loops in the wire. This shortens wiring time considerably compared with conventional wiring methods.

This system also is a game changer in terms of preparation time and transportation, because 300 metres of wire are only one reel. Traditionally, this would mean 9 cardboard boxes. With the usual minimum of 6 different reels (6 colours) per installation site, that would mean 18 cardboard boxes as opposed to only 6 reels.

The reels are so-called single-use reels. You don't need to return them, as with other providers, and there is no deposit to be paid. You can discard the reels on site or - if you prefer - return them to us for recycling.

Will electricians need special courses to make full use of the Speedwork system?

The Speedwork system is self-explanatory. You won't even need an instruction manual!

Can I try out the Speedwork wire spool system before I buy it? Is it available in a showroom at Schrack?

Schrack Technik offers a trial period for the Speedwork wire spool system. The only thing you need to buy are the matching reels!
