Fuses still have their advantages today, for example simple selectivity, short-circuit limitation, or the safety of a completely new fuse element after replacement. Even today, fuses are still the optimum equipment for short-circuit and residual current protection in many electrical systems.

Your special advantages and features

  • Simple implementation of selectivity (coordination)
  • Short-circuit limitation by design
  • High short-circuit resistance with minimal dimensions
  • Fuse element is new after replacement of the fuse insert
  • Cost-effective protection of large installations

D02 fuse switch disconnectors

Some countries or regions require D0 fuse switch-disconnectors for D02 (neozed) fuses to be used upstream of the distribution board if that section is accessible by laypersons.

D02 fuse switch-disconnectors have also been used in industrial applications for many years due to their fast and safe handling and lower power loss.

They are also suitable for many other usage options such as main protection, fuse and temperature monitoring.

With these advantages in mind, Schrack successfully introduced the TYTAN product on the market already decades ago. Today, this line offers above cutting-edge technology.

When extending or converting existing installations, regulations often require all D02 fuse holders to be replaced with D02 fuse switch-disconnectors which can be operated by laypersons. This is meant to prevent hazards of mixed systems from affecting laypersons.
